With Zante being one of the top European party destinations, it creates a high demand for events and tickets. Since the influx of online bookings in recent years, scams targeting partygoers have risen. This highlights the importance of buying from a reputable company/ticket seller.

Common Scams to Be Cautious Of:

Some common scams include fake websites mimicking official event organisers and “discounted” or “exclusive” tickets on social media. Be aware if the seller is requesting payment through untraceable methods like PayPal Friends & Family or cryptocurrency. Also, watch out for people or accounts messaging you offering things like club passes that give you entry to all the clubs, extra alcohol/bottles and free VIP, as they want to get you to put a deposit down.

Red Flags to Look Out For:

  • Prices that seem too good to be true

  • Lack of branding or poorly written communication

  • Inconsistent information between ticket sellers/platforms and official event details

What to Do if You’re Scammed:

If you find that you have been scammed, then make sure to contact your bank as soon as possible and report the site/seller you were scammed by.

It’s important to be cautious when booking Zante party/event tickets online; to be safe, buy tickets from reputable sellers that have a good amount of reviews and social presence.
