Peri Heaven Moves to the Laganas Strip 2026 — Now Directly Opposite Sugar Bar

Peri Heaven has moved. For the 2026 season, the peri-peri chicken spot that returned to Laganas in 2025 has left its previous unit on Kalamaki Road — the former Bella Zante site — and relocated onto the main Laganas Strip, directly opposite Sugar Bar. Same menu, same flame-grill, same operator. Different postcode, and a much better one.
If you ate there last summer and you're flying back for 2026, don't walk down Kalamaki Road looking for it. It's not there anymore. It's on the main strip, in the same cluster as Barcode, a thirty-second walk from Cheeky Tikis and three minutes from the main clubs.
Here's everything that's changed, everything that hasn't, and why the move actually matters.

Where Peri Heaven Is Now
The new unit sits on the main Laganas Strip, directly across the road from Sugar Bar. For anyone who's walked the strip before, that's mid-strip — the busy stretch between the pre-drinks bars at the top and the main club cluster at the bottom. Barcode is a few doors down. Cheeky Tikis is a thirty-second walk. Aura Club — the rebranded Zeros — is two minutes further on, with Rescue Club and Cherry Bay just past it.
If you've never been to Laganas before, the orientation is simple. The strip is a kilometre of bars, clubs and restaurants running down to the beach. The top end is where you start your night. The bottom end is where the main clubs are. Peri Heaven's new spot is in the middle — exactly where you end up between pre-drinks and the clubs, which is exactly when you want food.
The old location off the strip on Kalamaki Road was good food in the wrong place. The new one fixes that.
Why the Move Matters
There's a reason this is a news story and not just a relocation. The operator behind Peri Heaven also runs Sugar Lounge, Cheeky Tikis, and Players Sports Bar — three of the most-walked-into venues on the strip. Putting Peri Heaven directly opposite Sugar Bar means all four of their venues now sit inside a sixty-second walking loop, in the busiest section of Laganas.
For visitors, the practical effect is simpler. Eating before the clubs is the first decision of the evening, and the answer used to involve walking off the strip to find proper food. That's gone. You can now do pre-drinks at Cheeky Tikis, eat at Peri Heaven across the road from Sugar, walk back across to Sugar for the next round, and be at Aura Club's door inside two minutes.
If you're spending a week in Laganas, that loop is going to become muscle memory by night three.
What's Stayed the Same
Everything that made Peri Heaven worth eating at hasn't changed. The menu is the same flame-grilled peri-peri chicken — quarters, halves and full birds, wraps, wings, thighs, and the standard sides of peri fries, corn on the cob, and garlic bread. Heat levels run from mild through medium and hot up to extra hot, the same as before.
Prices are still in the €15 to €30 range for a proper sit-down meal, which puts it well below the strip's mid-range restaurants and roughly on par with what you'd pay at Nando's at home — except the chicken is fresh off the grill and the portions are bigger.
The Zante Bible discount wristband still works at Peri Heaven, so the existing partnership carries over to the new location with no changes.
When to Eat There on a Night Out
There are three windows that work, and they're not the same.
Pre-drinks slot, 8pm to 9:30pm. This is the move for most groups. Sit down, eat properly, line your stomach. The strip doesn't peak until 11pm, so eating before that means no waiting and no scramble. The half chicken with peri fries is the standard order. Add a wrap if you're going hard.
Late-night refuel, after the bars. The wraps are the play here. Spicy chicken, garlic mayo, in a warm pitta. Quick to eat standing up, fills the gap between bar close and club, and won't sit heavy. Wings work too if you're sharing.
Hangover recovery, lunchtime the day after. A full chicken and peri fries between two of you. The strip is quiet, the kitchen is unhurried, and the spice clears the head faster than anything else on the island. This is the most underrated use of Peri Heaven and the new location makes it easier — you can eat, walk to the beach, and be in recovery mode within twenty minutes.
How It Fits Into the 2026 Strip
Peri Heaven moving onto the main strip is part of a wider pattern for 2026. Lucky's Pub opened on 17th April. Infinity Beach Club — where our office is — opens for the season on 1st May. Cheeky Tikis follows on 2nd May. The rest of the bars — Barcode, Sugar, Frozen Bubbles, Flavors and Loft — are rolling out behind them through May.
What's happening across the strip isn't just venues opening earlier; it's venues upgrading positions. Aura Club has a full rebrand from Zeros with new signage already up. Peri Heaven has moved to a higher-traffic unit. The strip in 2026 is the deepest line-up Laganas has put together — and it's worth booking the trip around.
If you're building out your week, the 2026 Event Package covers five events across the season — ABODE at Pure Beach Club on Thursdays, Nathan Dawe at IKON on Mondays, GRV at Infinity Beach Club on Mondays, Champagne Spray on Fridays, and the Tidal Boat Party. Every venue on that list is within a three-minute walk of Peri Heaven's new front door.
The Bottom Line
The food is the same. The price is the same. The peri-peri chicken that brought Peri Heaven back to Laganas in 2025 is exactly where it was — the location around it has just upgraded.
For returning visitors: don't walk down Kalamaki Road. The new spot is on the main strip, opposite Sugar Bar, in the Barcode cluster. You'll see it.
For first-timers: it's now the easiest sit-down food on the strip, and it sits in the exact
pocket where you'll be every night anyway. There isn't a reason not to eat there.
We've been on the ground in Zante since 2009, and our office is at Infinity Beach Club a four-minute walk down the beach. If you're flying out for the 2026 season, come and say hello — and we'll see you in the queue at Peri Heaven.
